Deadlines & how to apply
Redesigned successor to the legacy COJG, launched May 4, 2026 as the Ontario Job Grant. Applications accepted year-round online and assessed on an ongoing basis; individual employers may apply for 25 or fewer trainees, one application at a time. Up to $10,000 per trainee. Employers with 100+ employees pay 50% of training costs; employers under 100 pay at least one-sixth, or nothing (up to $15,000 per trainee) when training previously unemployed new hires. Training must be delivered by an eligible third-party provider and completed within 52 weeks. Fixed budget: meeting criteria does not guarantee funding.
