Who qualifies
- Eligible industries: EV charging infrastructure, hydrogen refuelling, fleet operators, real estate (multi-unit residential and commercial), retail, workplace, public sector, transit
- Eligible activities: Installation of Level 2 or Level 3 (DC fast) EV chargers; hydrogen refuelling station construction; site upgrades, electrical capacity work, permitting, project management directly tied to charger or refuelling deployment
Watch out for
Federal department or Crown corporation; softwood lumber company; project not deploying EV charging or hydrogen refuelling infrastructure; lacks the 50% non-federal cost-share commitment
Deadlines & how to apply
Continuous intake until funding fully committed. Each applicant limited to two project proposals per intake. Program runs through 2026-27 with $630M total envelope since 2019. Federal public administration entities (departments, Crown corporations, agencies) and softwood lumber companies are not eligible.
